The houseboat program, or houseboat in English, was carefully designed for travelers who want to enjoy the Amazon rainforest in a more economical, safe and authentic way. Far from the tourist routes that most local agencies are used to doing.
The Amazon Houseboat project aims to take visitors to the Amazon rainforest in a more authentic and real way, where they can enjoy nature in an authentic way, outside the tourist routes that other agencies usually take their clients, taking tourist tours and going to places that have already been more than explored for years by local tourism. We want to avoid these routes.
About AMAZON HOUSEBOAT. AMAZON HOUSEBOAT is a typical boat from the region, with all the comfort we use as our accommodation, spend time in the jungle.
The ship has bathrooms with showers, a full kitchen, a leisure area with showers, sun loungers for resting, chairs, tables, an area for placing hammocks with mosquito nets, a control room with a maritime radio, a mobile device, a light generator, life jackets, a first aid kit, amateur fishing equipment, oars and motorized canoes.
Types of accommodation on the ship. At the top of the boat we have an area where we use hammocks with mosquito nets. At the bottom, for now (our project is for 10 cabins) we have only two (2) TPL cabins, each with a double bed and a single bed, leader style, each cabin with its own bathroom, and fan.
BOAT SIZE
The ship is 20.70 long by 5 wide.
THE AREA WHERE OUR BASE IS LOCATED, THE BOAT.
Our accommodation boat is located on the upper Rio Negro, close to the Anavilhanas Islands archipelago, the largest freshwater archipelago in the world.
The accommodation ship is located at a strategic point on the Río Negro. It is located between two Amazonian ecosystems, the Rio Negro and the Amazon River. On the right bank, we have the part of the Rio Negro with dark waters (although it is not dark and is colored like Coca-Cola or tea), with a lot of jungle, a continent where we do jungle tours, where we camp in the jungle because there are few mosquitoes. On the right bank of the Rio Negro, we have the flora, many large trees, medicinal plants, little mud, the terrain is dry, not muddy, very good for long walks, trekking, observing the flora, etc.
The left bank of the Rio Negro. On the left bank of the Rio Negro we have the Ariaú tributary, which is a tributary of the Amazon River, with brown waters. This is the area where we explore wildlife. On the left bank is where we go piranha fishing (also in the archipelago it is very good for fishing large piranhas), nighttime alligator watching, bird watching, sloth bears, monkeys, rubber plantations, exploring the flooded jungle (from February to the end of July), seeing the water lilies, fishing with harpoons, fishing with the natives using artisanal methods (arrows, harpoons and nets), swimming with freshwater dolphins, visiting the natives' houses to see how they live in the jungle and visiting the indigenous tribe where we will see the typical ritual of this tribe.
Transfer from Manaus to our accommodation on the boat.
The transfer from Manaus to our accommodation boat is carried out as follows:
The first part is done by car and the second part is done by boat until you reach the ship. The total time to settle on the boat is approximately 1h50.
