AMAZON CRUISE MARAVILLAS DEL RIO NEGRO 4D / 3N. (Departure: every day)
Day 1: Departure from the Tropical Hotel or the central port of Manaus at 2:30 p.m. or 9:00 a.m. Presentation of the crew on board and ship facilities. Welcome gift. We sail up the Rio Negro. Stop at the city of Paricatuba, an old ruin from the rubber era. The guide will tell you the history of this ruin and you will have time to take photos of the place. Sail to a place where we will swim with freshwater dolphins. Lunch.
Canoe ride until dusk, returning at night with the possibility of observing animals. Dinner.
Day 2: Breakfast. Jungle walk lasting three hours or more. We observe medicinal plants, explanations about the Amazon rainforest, etc.
Lunch on our boat and time to swim in the waters of the Río Negro.
Departure by canoe to visit the "Caboclo" house, an opportunity to learn about the local way of life of these people, see the plantations, thefts, etc.
We sailed through the Anavilhanas Archipelago, the second largest archipelago of river islands in the world, over 1,600 kilometers from the ocean. We fished for piranhas and other Amazonian fish. Dinner.
Night hike to see crocodiles with the possibility of encountering other animals, snakes and other species depending on the season. Tonight we will spend the night on the boat, on the beach or in a safe place from the wind that increases at night. We can make a bonfire on the banks of the Rio Negro to prepare a barbecue-style dinner while enjoying a Brazilian caipirinha, listening to tales of the Amazon from our guide.
Day 3: Wake up early to watch the sunrise (birds, dolphins and others). Breakfast and departure to visit the village of Acajatuba, with its boat builders, craft fair and other activities (bird watching and other animals such as sloths, monkeys, macaws, toucans, etc.). Lunch.
This afternoon we will leave with our team to spend the night in the jungle. The guide will look for a safe place where he can set up camp using jungle materials, palm leaves, and twigs collected from the jungle. Find firewood to make a fire to prepare dinner and spend the night. In the jungle, you will sleep in hammocks with mosquito nets, strung between the trees.
Day 4: We woke up very early to return to our boat for breakfast and to start sailing until we reached Lake Janauary. We visited the Water Lilies (at the time), took a canoe ride to discover more of the Amazon rainforest and finally, we visited the “Meeting of the Waters”. Time for photos, explanations about why the two great rivers do not mix for miles. We sailed back to Manaus.
Arrival at 5:00 pm Transfer to the hotel or airport and end of our services.
