Kayak Expedition 5D/4N

 



This package has been designed for all adventure lovers, for those who want to have a pure experience aboard an Amazon Kayak. Our Amazon rivers have a lot to offer to all adventurers who really want to get to know the Amazon rainforest, its rivers and tributaries.

 

Participants in this adventure will participate daily in all activities described in this adventure package.  

 

We will begin our kayaking expedition accompanied by our local guides to explore the region where we will spend the 5 days. The river we will explore will be the Mamori River, a tributary of the Amazon River.  

 

Our adventure will be done entirely by kayak. Participants in this adventure will participate in the construction of the jungle camp built with twigs and palm leaves. Participants will learn how to make fire, how to find firewood, how to make plates with palm leaves, how to make spoons, how to hang hammocks between trees, how to make a bench to sit on and where to find water to drink in the vines.

 

These expeditions are carried out in different locations that are made up of different ecosystems, such as:

 

On the Rio Negro:   Cuieiras, (tributaries of the Rio Negro), Apuaú (tributary of the Rio Negro), Archipelagos de las Anavilhanas (largest freshwater river archipelago. Jaú Reserve (tributary of the Rio Negro).

 

On the Amazon River:  Juma River (tributary of the Amazon River and Madera River), Juma (tributary of the Amazon) and Piranha Reserve (lake known as Piranha Lake), a lake full of wildlife. Castaño River (tributary of the Amazon River).

 

We will explore: Los Igapós (flooded jungle between March and the end of July). Igarapés (small streams of water between the firm jungle).

 

Day 1:  Departure from the city of Manaus at 8 am by car towards the port of Ceasa (20 minutes from your hotel). Board a speedboat towards ENCUENTRO DE LAS AGUAS (Solimões River and Negro River forming the Great Amazon River. Then, we will go to the other side of the Solimões River (a city known as Careiro) to board our vehicle and continue along Highway 319. During this transfer, participants will be able to enjoy the landscapes and observe the water lilies (the largest aquatic plant in the world).  

 

We arrive at the Momori River and board our kayaks to begin our adventure. We must be prepared for this adventure that will last approximately five hours. During the trip we will enjoy a unique and fantastic landscape, an area where it is very easy to spot wildlife of different species: exotic birds, crocodiles, fish, snakes, sloths and many other species.

 

Stop for lunch on the riverbank while we listen to the animals singing and observe the jungle that surrounds us.  

 

We will continue our adventure to our lodge. We are expected to arrive at the lodge at 5:00 pm.

 

At 8:00 pm a delicious dinner will be served. Fish, meat, chicken, salads and fruits.

 

Day 2:  At 5:30 am we will leave to see the sunrise, do some bird watching and return for breakfast.

We will go for a walk in the jungle for about three hours, where we will learn about medicinal plants and learn about the ecosystem. I will return for lunch.

 

In the afternoon, we will go out in our kayaks to explore the region and observe the Amazonian flora and fauna. On all kayak trips, we will have the opportunity to see parrots, macaws, monkeys, birds and other animals. Tonight, we will sleep on the riverbank, where we will build our camp and make a fire to prepare our barbecue. At night, we will go out in search of crocodiles. The guide will capture the alligator with his own hands to present this predator to the participants, so that they can take photos, touch and get to know this animal more closely. Overnight at our camp.

 

Day 3:  Early in the morning we will set out in our kayaks to watch the sunrise. This is a great opportunity to spot animals and watch the sunrise. Return to camp for breakfast. Breakfast will be served outdoors, natural style, accompanied by tropical fruits, fruit juices, bread, butter and eggs.

Then we will go out to explore the small tributaries, tributaries that connect rivers with rivers, lakes with other lakes. These places are very precious for spotting wildlife. Lunch and then we will go out in our kayaks to continue our adventure. This afternoon we will set up our camp in a different place, where we will have the opportunity to enjoy more and more wildlife.

 

Time to prepare dinner, prepare the banana leaf dishes, make a spoon out of tree bark, learn how to make fire and prepare our food. After dinner we will go out to observe the nightlife.

 

Day 4:  At 5:30 am we will go out to observe the pink dolphins. Return to camp for breakfast. After breakfast we will go fishing for piranhas and other types of Amazonian fish. Then we will visit the home of a native where our lunch will be prepared and we will eat with them. See their lifestyle, how they live in harmony with nature.    

 

In the afternoon, we will enter the jungle to camp in the middle of the jungle. Participants will help the guide light the fire, look for firewood, prepare dinner and fetch water from the vines. Hang the hammocks with their mosquito nets between the trees. We do not hang hammocks in any tree, first you must carefully observe if the tree does not have nests of ants, spiders or snakes.

 

Boots and shoes must be hung on the rope of each participant's hammock.    

 

That night we will spend in the jungle, a native will also come with us. We will take a short walk through the jungle at night to see the animals, see frogs, tarantulas and hundreds of small beetles known as fireflies because when they are flying they light up like little lanterns. Good night.

 

Day 5:  Wake up early to take a short walk in search of toucans, monkeys and other animals. Return to camp for breakfast. Then we will return to where we left our kayaks for the return trip to the lodge. It is time to swim in the river. Lunch and transfer back to Manaus. Arrival estimated for 5:00 pm.

 

Price per person  (minimum 4 P. for these trips):596 dollars. In euros:544 euros per person.  

 

The package includes:  Full meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner), mineral water, juices, guide, transfers, three nights in the jungle and one night at the lodge, hammocks and mosquito nets and all the activities in the package.  

 

Very important information:

- Limited weight per person: 10kg.

- Large bags can be left in Manaus at our agency.

- Bring boots or sneakers for a jungle walk.

- Long and short pants.
